DVD to Apple TV FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How come DVD to Apple TV doesn't allow me to create 1280x720 video files, as the Apple TV supports these ?
A: Remember a DVD has a resolution of 720x480 for NTSC movies and 720x576 for PAL movies. To create a 1280x720 resolution video file, would mean some incredible upscaling would have to take place and this will degrade the movie quality.
